Easy Egg Toast Recipe

I love breakfast foods! In fact, I will literally eat breakfast at any time of day. I think I just really enjoy the simplicity of it all. There's just nothing like having french toast for lunch or a nice bowl of cereal at night. I guess you could say that breakfast is my 'go to' meal of the day.

Lately, I have really been into making quick, simple meals and one of those meals happens to be egg toast. It's a fun little dish I saw on YouTube and decided to try out myself. I enjoy this one a lot because there are only two ingredients required, so it's very hard to mess up.

All you need is one(1) egg and one(1) slice of bread to get started.

Are you ready?
  1. First heat your pan with a little cooking oil or butter.
  2. Beat your egg (You can use more than one egg if you prefer) lightly and pour it into the heated pan. I sometimes add a little milk to my egg to make it fluffier.
  3. Before the egg cooks, cut your slice of bread in half and dip both sides in the egg mixture before letting it rest in the pan so that the bread can set into the egg.
  4. Once the egg cooks through, flip it over in the pan to toast the other side of the bread for a few seconds. Add salt and pepper if you want.
  5. Fold it in half and plate. Voila! You're done. All this recipe really needs is the egg and toast, but feel free to add other ingredients like cheese to customize it to your personal taste.

I love this recipe because it's simple, quick and tasty. It also helps me a bit with portion control. Do you have a favorite recipe that's quick and tasty? Let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time...
